    Therese A. Cannon

    Teri has been involved in the paralegal profession since 1975. Currently, she is the Chief Student Affairs, Operations and Accreditation Officer for Minerva Schools and Keck Graduate Institute. She has served as Dean of two law schools, most recently John F. Kennedy University School of Law, and as Dean or Director of two paralegal programs. She was the Educational Consultant to the ABA Standing Committee on Paralegals for ten years and previously served on both the Committee and its Approval Commission, including three years as chair. She is a past president of the American Association for Paralegal Education, having served six years on its Board of Directors.  Her other positions have included Educational Standards Consultant to the State Bar of California and Associate Dean at San Francisco State University. In addition to her two books on legal ethics, Teri has written extensively on paralegal education and management issues and diversity in the legal profession and has held various roles for the paralegal professional associations. Teri taught ethics for more than 30 years. She holds a law degree from Loyola Law School Los Angeles and an undergraduate degree from UCLA and is licensed to practice law in California.

    Sybil Taylor Aytch

    Sybil has over 25 years of paralegal and case management experience in both Phoenix and New York, with expertise in commercial bankruptcy, commercial litigation, electronic document /discovery management, and technology-based trial preparation. Prior to moving to Phoenix and joining Quarles & Brady LLP in 2000 as the Senior Paralegal in the Commercial Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors’ Rights group, she worked at a large New York-based law firm. Sybil has been an Adjunct Professor in the ABA-approved Paralegal Studies program at Phoenix College since 2001 where she teaches Ethics and Professional Practice, among other courses, and was previously an Assistant Professor at Western International University.  She has authored numerous articles and presented at professional conferences on ethics and professional practice, paralegal utilization, technology, leadership, and diversity and inclusion.  She served as a member of the ABA's Standing Commission on Paralegals Approval Commission for 4 years. She formerly served as Ethics Board Chair for NFPA and on its PACE Standards Committee. She is a founding member of the New York City Paralegal Association and the Paralegal Division of the Maricopa County (Arizona) Bar Association where she served as its first President.  Sybil is a graduate of Smith College (A.B.) and Northern Arizona University (M.Ed.), and has studied at both l'Institut d'Études Politiques-Paris and Université de Paris IV-La Sorbonne.  She is one of less than a dozen paralegals in Arizona with the advanced Registered Paralegal designation.
