Those I Will Thank…

3L, Southern University Law Center

Many people have to think about who they will thank after they graduate law school, but for me, this is a simple task. The thing is that some of the people that I would like to thank are no longer physically present in order for me to express those words to them. First off, I would thank my mother because without her I would not have made it this far. Although I am not her youngest child, she gave me the love and sometimes the money that I needed in order to survive. Next, I would thank my uncle who has sent me numerous amounts of money so that I can live out my dream. I would also thank my stepfather, who passed away before my 2L year, for all the encouraging words and the secret amounts of money he sent me without my mother knowing. When they say it takes a village to raise a child, it has really taken a village to raise me and to keep me afloat. If I don't say it enough, THANK YOU!
