What is a Connected eBook?

Connected eBooks are enhanced digital textbooks that come with a suite of online content and learning tools designed to maximize student success at

Connected eBooks feature:

  • a full e-book version of the text
  • outlining and case briefing tools to enhance student learning
  • a topical news feed to connect what students are learning to their everyday lives
  • for select titles, a Study Center complete with practice questions from leading study aids like the Examples & Explanations and Glannon Guides.

For casebooks and coursebooks in the Connected eBook program, students can purchase a new print book and automatically get access to the content and features at, or they can also choose to purchase a digital-only version.

Why do students love the Connected eBook?

  • With access to their textbooks from any device, students have more time and opportunities to do their reading.
  • Using the search feature, students say they can more readily keep up with the class lecture.
  • The outline and case briefing features help students be more efficient so they can focus their energy on learning and understanding the material.

What do you need to do to get your students connected?

As an instructor, there’s nothing you need to do to make sure your students can take advantage of the Connected eBook other than making sure they know how to access it. Any student who buys a new print casebook or coursebook in the program or the digital-only format will automatically have access. The syllabus below makes it easy for you to share the information with your students in time for the first day of class.
