  • Author Information

    Jeffery A. Helewitz

    Jeffrey A. Helewitz received his J.D. and LL.M. (International Business & Trade) degrees from Georgetown University Law Center and his M.B.A. (Finance) from New York University. After working for several years in the National Office of the Internal Revenue Service, with a brief assignment to the White House to work on a Presidential Commission, Mr. Helewitz started a small practice as a legal and financial consultant specializing in corporate and estate planning. He has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at both CUNY School of Law and Touro College law Center and an Adjunct Professor of Paralegal Studies at various educational institutions in the New York City area. Mr. Helewitz is the author of twenty legal texts and over a dozen legal articles.

    Mr. Helewitz recently retired as a Special Referee for the New York State Supreme Court, and after a short stint as an Administrative Law Judge with a New York City agency, now acts as an arbitrator with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
